4th Sale Central Guides celebrate their centenary

4th Sale Central Guides celebrate their centenary

On 12th December 1921 4th Sale Central Guides (previously 4th Sale Guide Company) met for the first time.

The unit are holding celebrations throughout the year to commemorate their centenary and on 7th December they hosted an evening for past and present leaders and friends of the unit. The Guides made their own Christmas themed carnival stalls including hook a penguin, snowball toss and snowman bowling.

They held a small tombola, raffle and provided refreshments for a donation to fundraise for local charities in honour of their 100th birthday too.

It was a lovely surprise for members of Sale Trefoil who had been leaders in Sale Central, who were reunited at the party with a fellow leader now Guiding in a neighbouring county.

The event concluded with a speech given by the unit's young leaders and everyone singing Happy Birthday.
