At Ashley we have a large field which can be divided into 2 campsites. Each campsite can hold approximately 50-60 people. Campers have access to toilets and washing facilities including a shower , in the camp toilet block by Ashley House, and also access to the dry shelter in the middle of the field.
Camp catering equipment (kettles, pots and pans etc.) and various sized marquees can be hired if required. Please request further information when booking.
We have 2 water taps situated by the shed / garage.
Grey water can be disposed of at the taps / run off
Campers have access to the Games / equipment hut available on site - remember to replace items before departure
You will need to bring cleaning stuff & toilet rolls for the toilet block for use during your stay & at departure
There is a purpose-built campfire circle with bench seating on the field. We often have some wood available for campfires but enquire in advance if you are planning on using it. There is a BBQ grill near the campfire and 2 free standing Altar-fires also available, but charcoal is not provided.
NB. Natural wood only should be used on the campfire
Outdoor Equipment
The activity equipment on site is available to all visitors. Children should be supervised at all times when using the activity equipment.
NB. In accordance with the Guiding Manual, written parental permission is required for girls to use the traversing wall and zip wire. It is the leader's responsibility to ensure this has been obtained and to supervise all outdoor activities.
The gym equipment by Ashley Lodge is not recommended for use by younger age groups e.g. Rainbows and Brownies.
There are designated areas on the field for specific games and activities as well as quieter areas for reading etc.
Please note: We do not have a chemical point for disposal of camp toilet waste.
