The Lodge is a large wooden chalet which can be used for a day event, training, meeting room, or as overnight/short stay accommodation and in combination with outdoor camping. It can sleep a maximum of 18.
Accommodation consists of:
- A large day/dining/meeting room also used for sleeping
- Tables and chairs
- Fully fitted kitchen - with gas/electric range, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettles and toaster. Catering and dining equipment for 24 people
- Bathroom with 2 flush toilets, 3 hand basins and 2 showers
- Wet room, with shower and washing and toilet facilities for people with additional needs
- Small store room for bedding and belongings
- 18 soft floor mats for sleeping
- Foldable 'Z-bed' (3) for leaders
Guests must bring:
- Your own first aid kit/medical equipment/supplies
- All bedding including pillows
- Washing up liquid, tea towels and dishcloths (paper towels are provided)
- Bin bags
- Toilet rolls
All water/sanitation is discharged into a holding tank so please do not leave water running for long periods.
Lighting, cooking facilities, gas central heating and hot water are included in the fees. All are metered so please be as economical as possible. Heating is pre-set and will come on automatically. Your warden will explain the systems to you on arrival.
You will be met by your volunteer warden on arrival and shown the facilities and the site. The warden will also see you out at the end of your stay and go through the departure checklist with you. There is a Welcome Pack in the Lodge where all the information is also available
Please note: you will need to confirm your ideal arrival and departure times on your ARRIVAL FORM. This needs to be with the Warden Manager 6 weeks before your visit to ensure wardens are in place.
Please note: wardens are volunteers and although they will try to accommodate your choice of arrival / departure times - on occassion this may need to be negotiated.
