County Team

Our County team is here to support local guiding and make sure that all 4200 members have the best possible opportunities and experiences. The members of the team are available to give information and advice about their own area of expertise, to provide training, events and much more.

Our County President has a number of responsibilities including:

Presenting awards
Being an Ambassador for the County
She will attend County Team meetings
Attend local guiding functions within the County
Keep up to date with developments in guiding
Providing advice to the County
Where needed keeping Vice Presidents up to date with County news and events.

County Commissioner

The County Commissioner role in Girlguiding Greater Manchester West is shared between Chris and Amy. They are responsible for and accountable to, the whole membership in the County. They work very closely with a team of dedicated and skilled volunteers to makesure that quality guiding is delivered through the county.

The Treasurer is responsible for the County finances. This includes keeping the books for the current and deposit accounts, auditing the books for Guiding Development, International, Outdoors, badges, and the Depot, plus the camp and new buildings accounts. The Treasurer generates the consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet for the County. They also work with the County Chair of Finance and the Finance Committee to produce the budget and cash flow and keeps the Executive up to date with the County Finances
