On Saturday 10th March, I was with 4th Sale Central Brownies and Guides on a trip to the Silver Blades Ice Rink, Altrincham, to watch Manchester Storm play a game of ice hockey against the Fife Flyers. Suddenly, the lights dimmed as the players came onto the ice and the entire crowd cheered wildly. It was a tense match between second and third place in the league. I felt nervous when Fife Flyers scored two goals in the first period; but then excited when Storm redeemed themselves by scoring three goals to win the match! We joyfully celebrated the glorious victory before our Brownies and Guides went onto the rink to enjoy an exciting hour and a half of ice-skating until 11pm!
